Self Guided Hunt

What our satisfied clients have said:

"Alaska is an adventure I never thought possible for me. I am a peripherally blind amputee. We originally planned a cruise and land tour, but decided it was too challenging and too restricting with the disabilities I have.

When we met Kent in our home town, he sent us a video of another family's trip and we decided then that it indeed was possible for me to see Alaska. We had done some of our own research and knew what we wanted to see. He added some must see, like Atigun Pass. Oh my goodness, the most beautiful, peaceful and majestic place I have ever been. Buses don't go there. A riverboat ride in Fairbanks, a day at Denali National Park, and lots of shopping without the crowds and a glacier cruise and salmon fishing. We were able to view Mt. McKinley and the glaciers on sunny days due to the versatility of our trip. He is also great at spotting the wildlife!

Our trip being versatile, we could have photo stops anytime or stretch our legs and play in the road and laugh till we cried. I felt safe as Kent's knowledge of the land and the creatures are unending. I am ready to go again! Thank you Kent for our trip of a lifetime!" ~Marcia Rentfrow

"This was an absolute wonderful experience to be able to share an Alaska experience with my son Tod, before he leaves home next year. Both of us more than ever appreciate the awesome power of a majestic God through the beauty of this creation. From snow capped Mt McKinley, at Denali National Park, where we saw grizzly bears with their cubs, moose & caribou. To the Yukon River and the many bubbling blue crystal clear streams loaded with grayling and salmon. To another highlight, Valdez, home of sea lion, sea otters, abundant salmon and beautiful blue glaciers....Kent, Thank you for your help in making this 9 day adventure so memorable. You are truly gifted guide, who offered skills, knowledge, and security, not to mention lots of fun and laughter." ~Ted Matuga

"Kent made the trip. He's a lot of fun, he's responsible and he always knows where he's at. He allowed us to concentrate on having fun." ~Tod Matuga

"What ever you want to do or see, Kent can make it happen for you like he did for us." ~Doug Fairbanks

"I didn't want to be stuck in a crowd watching bears eat salmon. I wanted to see and enjoy Alaska without all the tourists. Kent was able to take me to places those other companies couldn't. Wherever we wanted to go, he got us there. The sights were so spectacular all we could do was hold our breath in awe.

"We planned a custom trip so we could visit all the places we had dreamed of. During our tour of Alaska we didn't have to worry about time constraints like you do when going on one of those big tour bus groups. We could take our time and truly enjoy the scenery without having to watch the road as Kent did all of the driving. If we decided to spend more time in a location, Kent would make the adjustments. If we saw something interesting along the way, we could just pull over so we could enjoy it even more. Since Kent grew up in Alaska, he had much insight and wisdom to share of the history, scenery and wildlife. We have gone on two Alaskan tours with Kent so far and hope to go yet again. There is so much to do and see." ~Alan & Eva Snyder

"If you are looking for a custom trip to Alaska, Kent can provide just what you are looking for. Having grown up in the state with a love and knowledge of where to see the most and the best bear, eagles, sea animals, waterfalls, and glaciers, he can get you up close to the best sites. Along with fish streams, scenery, and fresh home made pies - Kent is your Man!

He can get where you want to go without the hassle and crowds. He can spot dall sheep, fox, moose, and a river full of salmon. Flowers and birds without the masses of people. From Anchorage to the Arctic Circle and the places in between, you will have an experience of a lifetime that will not fade from memory. and a video to recall the highlights. kent has endless energy and is always good natured and most accommodating." ~Mary (age 80+)

"My Brother and I decided to take my Dad to Alaska a few years ago. Based on strong recommendations from the Detroit area media, we decided to book our tour through Kent Kaiser.

We had a fantastic time! We flew into Fairbanks, stayed the first night at a lodge on the Chena river and then loaded up and took off up the Dalton Highway. We spent the next night in a cozy cabin above the Arctic Circle. Kent had all the gear we needed and taught me how to fly-fish for Char. We fished all afternoon and put my dad to bed in the cabin and he fell asleep watching the mountains through the skylight in the roof. Then, me and my brother walked along the side of the stream and fished in the daylight until 3 AM [ Alaska the land of the midnight sun ] and saw a moose checking us out from about 50 yards away. What a fantastic way to spend our first outdoor night in Alaska!

During the next week we saw so much of the beauty of the State driving down to Valdez and back up to Fairbanks. We walked on glaciers, saw bald eagles, canoed on mountain lakes and fished for salmon in rivers and bays. Although we had an itinerary planned, Kent stayed extremely flexible when we suggested a few minor diversions. He is perfectly willing to customize the excursion to fit our requests. As far as scenery and activities, it was much more than I could have imagined!

Kent has built relationships with everyone up there. He is treated like a local everywhere he goes, which has many advantages for his guests. We always felt secure and Kent explained what to expect at the various sites. Besides all this, Kent is a likeable guy, very conversant in many subjects and knows a ton about the areas we toured. The best part of the trip was that Kent helped us feel like locals more than we felt like tourists!

Thanks Kent!

I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Kent Kaiser and Alaskan Quest to anyone looking for a wonderful Alaskan tour experience!" ~Brian Conner

"Our trip to Alaska with Kent as our guide and our friends is a trip we will never forget. Our first part of our trip took us to Fairbanks where we met Kent at our bed & breakfast, ( which was a great stop) . We took off for Prudhoe Bay and the Arctic Ocean that day. We seen many animals which was breathtaking. Grizzly, black bear, muskox and dall sheep. We saw things we never dreamed of seeing. We ate at different places, slept in unique cabins. We were very pleased to say the least. Just a wonderful time with Kent. Lots of laughs especially when I gave Kent an " Atomic Fire Ball ". Believe me when I say this was a great trip with a great outfitter." ~Joe & Carol Kasiewicz

Love, love, love it!!!!!!! Had to be one of the best times of my life and you planned it out and made it happen. You really are one awesome guy! ~Cheryl Cooper 2014
